Sometimes life gives us roller coaster rides. We can’t control what will happen with us, but we can change our perspective towards things. Mindfulness is a skill which teaches you to build a healthier perspective and live balanced life.


Following are some of the things that you need to keep in mind before and after starting the course. So please go through each point and remember it.


  • This is not just 10 day training that you complete and let go. After completing this course also you will continue the practice for results. otherwise your reactivity to the thoughts and feelings will be same as previous.


  • Don’t change allotted time and place for meditation in these 10 days. It will help for consistency and increase dedication.


  • Slow and steady wins the race. There are lot of things, that are very easy to understand, but when you will start the practice then you will get to know that it’s not that easy as you thinks. So don’t finish each step in hurry, gently go one by one.


  • Be mindful in your daily activity. (Cooking, bathing, eating, walking……..) in other way do each activity with full presence.


  • At starting you may find this practice boring but have a faith. step by step when you learn the technique, the picture will be clear.


  • Meditation is not about stopping the thoughts or not allow yourself to think. The mind’s nature is to think. We meditate to see those thoughts more clearly to change our relation with them.


  • Mindfulness Meditation does not mean you will get guaranteed relaxation, quietness, or happiness every time. Relaxation can certainly be a side effect of it, but meditation involves a range of feelings, not just the nice ones but the negative feelings also.


  • Many people have physical limitations like someone can’t sit on the floor or someone can’t sit on a place for a long time, so they can decide the time and the place where they can feel comfortable.


  • In this practice, we are seeing our thoughts and feelings more clearly without reacting them strongly, but sometimes it will be possible that the unpleasant feelings may arise and you are unable to face them, in that case gently stop the practice without feeling you have failed in attempting meditation session. Day by day when your reaction to that unpleasant feeling will reduce, after some time that feeling will not harm you anymore. (That feeling can be there in your mind but their power will be less)


  • If you are under a counselor or doctor's care already, please let them inform that you are going through this course, so in case any problem arises they can assist you.
