In this course we’ll discuss the documents and processes you’ll need before you can start quoting, and the difficulties quoting agile. The course will then go into the best methods of gathering information from your clients with a comprehensive website briefing document, to put together a solid, easy to understand website quote. You’ll be able to ask the right questions within your discovery sessions and set the right expectations. We’ll also discuss some of the challenges and risks of quoting for websites, look at client expectation versus reality and client management. Avoiding the pitfalls of quote and pitch work, are just some of the key things to learn about the process.

This course goes into depth about the tasks outlined in your quote and the processes which create them. We’ll then give those tasks some time estimates and finish off by working out your hourly rate, and putting a financial figure next to the billable hours.

By the end of the course you should be able to not only understand how to quote for websites but also understand the pre and post work involved. Most website projects are 50% planning and 50% doing, so getting it right at the start is the key to success.
